And now for take 2

Ok lets try this again.
So obviously because it has been so long a lot has change. In the terms of kids it might as well have been 20 years.
Dev is doing awesome.  She is now in 4th grade and loving it.  We lost a cat and gained another. We moved to a couple new apartments. Oh and I picked up a boyfriend. Sigh. And things have gotten better and worse and better and worse and better again with Dev's dad. Life is strange that way.  It is all over the place right?
So here is where we are now. I have a super sweet kitty named Zen Nightshade. He is super crazy and fun.   We still have Spooky Midnight Shadow.

Spooky
They are both way awesome. Even if Spooky is grumpy all the time.

Spring 2012 as you can see she still has her 'Brother' BFF

We moved to a new apartment and we love it a lot. It suits us well. Dev is really happy with it. She likes it a lot better then the other places we were living. She is going to be like me when she grows up talking about moving around a lot and when people ask Oh military kid? and she will say no just we moved a lot. At least she never has had to change schools. I always hated that.
She had the best school year last year. Her teacher was amazing and everything went really well. This year she has a new teacher and I am hoping that she continues to have amazing school years. So far so good. Dev really likes her new teacher. Her teacher is funny, fun, and keeps the kids engaged. Plus she is really good with working with Dev to help her with her LDs. She has her bff from last year in her class again and she said that she has made a couple new friends.
from a couple months for this school year.
Christmas was awesome. She got spoiled entirely and we got totally hooked up with Legos. I spent the day building them with her.
Vampire castle lego set. She got 90% of all the monster sets.
Thanks Grandpa Murphy.

This was the first summer I did not have Miss Dev in summer camp and it was a huge challenge but also we had fun. We spent some time at the zoo. With her friend Kir.
We took Mr. Zen on a picnic
He was really afraid after he saw Carriage Horses.

Hiking

The Leo museum had a really cool new exhibit and I brought the kid krew to go see it. It ended up being a lot of fun and if you have not seen it I highly suggest you do. It is pretty cheap.

The kids all got robots and pizza. It is always amazing to me how Dev can get her friends together from different circles and totally different personalities and it always seems to work out pretty well.

Cuddle puddle in the middle of the exhibit. Yeah why not?

We have a new addition to our family. Kevin. Kevin brought a dog with him and has been pretty amazing. We have been together over a year and things just keep getting better. He is really good for me and Devi. Dev and him totally bonded over their art. Kevin is still a kid in a lot of ways (movies, art, imagination, and silliness) so they got along from the beginning.
He is really good for Dev and me. Totally supportive and not one of those guys I would normally date. Also he gets along with Devis dad so it takes some of our tension out. All in all life is good.

<3 Introducing the 2 Cats <3

This is my first furry baby Rum Tum Tugger! He is awesome! He knows how to fetch and is very cuddley and funny. He will talk to you and head butt. He is very needy and scared of new things. He loves cat nip and toy mouses. I have had him since he was a little kitten. I got him 4 years ago, he is so cute. This is Skruffy. I found him as a baby crying outside my door in the snow. I let him in and as soon as he was in the door he ran to tug's food and started to chow down. When he was done with that he curled up on the couch and proceeded to sleep. Much to tuggers dismay, i might add. I tried and tried to find him a new home but he was mine. He has been here ever since. For four years. He had very bad manners. Anytime you were eating anything he would bat it away from your hand as you tried to put it in your mouth which meant he could eat it because it was now on the floor. As soon as devi was born he took to her. Following us on walks sleeping on her legs. He would cuddle with her and grew very attached to her. He is the most patient and loving cat i have met. He is not much for just laying on you unless he feels like it. But he has been very patient with devi. he has never bit or scratched her, when there have been times he would have been completely justified in doing so. Very much unlike tugger who lets devi and other humans know exactly when he has had enough. We love our cats very much.

<3 Intoducing Devi Berlyn <3

This is Devi Berlyn. She is a crazy girl. She <3 animals and her best friends are her stuft animals and her 2 cats Tug and Skruffy. Skruffy is her cat. Her favorite movies are Charlie and Lola and any movies that involve animals. She doesn't get to watch TV we dont get any TV. I know she is so deprived. She gets to go on plenty of play dates. We go to the discovery Gateway tons! Her favorite color in the whole world is pink, despite my indoctrination. She is very much a girly girl. Her favorite book at the moment is 'the little endless story book' It is a offshoot of the sandman comics. All the endless family as kids. It is super cute. You have to check it out. She is a MAJOR Drama Queen. and as i say that she yells in a pouty voice NO I AM NOT!!!! Such drama. :) Currently we are learning how to fly kites. I found a kick ass score at costco, a huge dragon kite for $10. It is so awesome. We flew it last week and the whole time devi was running around screaming Oh NO a DRAGON!!! IT IS COMING TO EAT US!!!! It was really fun, I have not flown a kite in ages, i cant even remember when i have last. I would highly recommend it! It is way fun.
